TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Roberts struggled in the first half of its exhibition opener, but turned it on in the second half and cruised to an 82-57 win over British Columbia.
Junior forward Michael Craion led the way in the scoring column with 18 points. Craion also added nine rebounds, two assists and two steals in his ORU debut. Warren Niles, another newcomer, added 16 points and four assists.
ORU struggled early on and trailed 21-17 midway through the first half. The Golden Eagles put together a run before the half, though, and went into the break up 36-31.
In the second half, the Golden Eagles shot 50 percent from the field and built their lead to as many as 27 points when 3:05 remaining. ORU finished the game at 40.9 percent from the field, while holding British Columbia to 32.3 percent shooting.
The Golden Eagles close out their exhibition schedule when they host Harding on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
