TULSA, Oklahoma-- The Tulsa Shock looks to avoid yet another bump in its as the team returns to the BOK Center to take on the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday. Tulsa ended its three-game road trip with a 75-59 loss to the Seattle Storm (20-2), the best team in the league.
This will be the second time the Shock has faced Atlanta this season. In round one, Tulsa lost a 95-90 nail biter on the road. Scholanda Robinson was the team’s leading scorer with 17 points.
Not only is the Shock looking to avoid its fourth straight loss, in the long term, it's also trying to dodge tying the WNBA record for the worst regular season record (4-30), which was set by the 2009 Atlanta Dream squad.
The Shock will need to pick up a win over the remaining 11 games of the season to avoid owning the worst mark in WNBA history, but those victories may be hard to come by since the team has only two wins at the BOK Centerand two wins on the road for the season.
Tulsa has only four remaining home games this season, including Tuesday’s contest. Tip-off is set for 12:30 p.m.
