Pawnee's Tate Beer Likely Headed for Jenks

PAWNEE, Oklahoma -- Just one week before the start of practices, Pawnee High School finds itself with a new head football coach and likely in search of a new starting quarterback.
Tate Beer won the 2010 2A state tournament MVP honor and was the Black Bears' starting QB. It appears he's headed to Jenks for his senior season.
The Pawnee Board of Education on Monday night approved the promotion of Jody Boyd from assistant coach to head football coach.
He replaces Todd Beer, who, as of early Tuesday afternoon, was still employed at Pawnee.
