OKBlitz.com Staff Writer SAN ANTONIO – A week off for the Shock was not quite enough.
Despite plenty of rest and taking their best shot at San Antonio, the Shock sacrificed an early lead and fell 94-74 to the Silver Stars on Friday.
Tulsa (5-25) led several times in the first half, including by as many as five early when a
Tiffany Jackson jumper put her team up 23-18.
San Antonio rallied back to take the lead, but the Shock kept it tight. Forward
Amber Holt drained a 3-pointer with three seconds left in the first half to keep Tulsa within 47-46 at the break.
The Silver Stars (12-18) broke open the game in the middle of the third quarter with a 15-4 run to take a large lead and never look back.
Guard
Ivory Latta had 13 points and five assists for the Shock.
Scholanda Robinson led Tulsa in scoring with 14.
Tulsa dropped its third straight and will not have much time to recover. It will host the Los Angeles Sparks at 8 p.m. Saturday at the BOK Center.
