Will it be one of the traditional powers (Jenks or Union)?
Will BA's offensive firepower propell them over the top in Lancaster's final season at the helm?
Will someone else swoop in and change the trend of the last 12 years?

It will be one of the big schools, Union or Jenks, again! They just have way more resources so they can develop their program all the way down to the 3rd grade level.
Best thing for all of 6A and 5A is for the top 4 schools in ADM in the Tulsa Metro, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Union, Owasso, join the top 4 schools in ADM in the OKC Metro, Mustang, Edmond North, Moore & Westmoore, in their own District. Then move the top 4 5A teams up so the remainder of 5A & 6A has 4 districts of 7 teams, 6 district games 4 non-district. The new Super 8 would all have 7 district games, and all 8 would make the playoffs for their own Super 8 Championship.
28 teams in 6A compete for 16 playoff slots, same for 5A.

It will be Jenks or Union same as always. 6A is about as boring as it gets when it's always the same old teams in the play offs.
There is no guess work and the only games worth watching are the games those teams aren't playing.

I don't know if its that cut and dried this year. Southmoore is uncharted territory. That team is so skilled that they pose a challenge truly unique to Union and Jenks. Thompson is like a wizard at quarterback...he can escape all kinds of trouble and still turn what looks like a broken play into a huge gain.
Not to knock Union or Jenks, but this year the 6A-1 class is about as strong top to bottom (other than Moore) as you can get.

Yeah...6A may not be as easy to call as it has been in the past. Bartlesville also has a lot of firepower and BA returns the top rusher from a season ago plus Archie Bradley moved in from Muskogee. They have two legit quarterback options.
But then again, if it was Union or Jenks I wouldn't be surprised.

I sure hope you are right and someone else will give them a run for their money. TV only wants to cover Jenks or Union games and watching them slaughter teams week after week is old and dull.
Nothing against the players out there giving it their all - but I want to see a game that is an actual competition and not the weekly blow out.
So, I hope Southmoore brings it to them and Bartlesville steps up too. Shake things up a bit. It would be refreshing.

It explains the last 12 years and the rise of BA.

Unlike most years I think there are several teams who could challenge Jenks and Union in 2010. Broken Arrow and Bartlesville are two teams to watch on the east side while Lawton, Midwest City, and Southmoore are going to be tough on the west. I can't wait for **** all to start on Friday night! GO TIGERS!!!
