TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Talons put up points bunches on the way to a 65-44 drubbing of the Cleveland Gladiators Saturday.
The Talons led 35-24 at halftime, but dominated the second half. The defense forced two interceptions by Cleveland quarterback John Dutton, and Tulsa’s lead ballooned to 65-30.
The Gladiators’ offense finally got back on track late in the game to score 14 unanswered points, but it was too late to make a difference.
Justin Allgood led the way for the Talons, completing 23 of 33 passes for 271 yards and five touchdowns. Dutton finished with 345 yards and six touchdowns, but his two interceptions were costly.
The win moves the Talons to 7-5 on the season, with their next game coming at 7 p.m. on July 10.
