Tulsa Talons landed five players on the All-AFL first and second teams. The Talons tied with Chicago and Tampa Bay for most players represented from a team.
Defensive lineman
Gabe Nyenhuis made the defensive first team after one of the best defensive seasons in league history. Nyenhuis led the AFL in sacks with 15.5 (a league record), tackles for loss (13) and forced fumbles (9). He was also named Lineman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
Linebacker
Steve Watson joined Nyenhuis on the first team defense. Watson led all Mac linebackers in the league with 69 tackles (42 solo) and finished with 6.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and two pass break ups.
Wide receiver
Donovan Morgan landed on the first team offense for the Talons. He finished the season with 1,707 yards and an AFL-best 52 touchdowns.
Linebacker
Jamar Ransom placed on the second team defense with 92 tackles and six interceptions. He had the most tackles in the league at the Jack linebacker position. He also had six touchdowns on the season (two interception returns and four offensive).
Odie Armstrong made the second team at the fullback position. He led the AFL in yards per carry (4.9) and rushing yards (349). He had fifteen total touchdowns and was considered one of the best blocking fullbacks in the league.
