Give me your thoughts YES? or NO?

I SAY HE ABSOLUTELY NEEDS TO GO! Really how many draw plays can you run when the other team is stacking the box with every one (including the safety's)

I agree, he NEEDS TO GO.  I think he is sabotaging us on purpose!  Most other people would be fired for not doing the job they were hired to do.  Surely OU has more plays in their reportoire than just draw plays!

No, I don't think he needs to go, rather, I think he needs to have Jones run a little bit more, not taking off all the time, just a few times a game to keep the defense honest. Fake a hand off to the left then dash to the right, then next time consider reversing it. He can slide to avoid taking to much damage. I think they should start practicing the wildcat with Moses Madu in there too, since now Broyles is out for most of the rest of the season.

Even Bradford when he returns should scramble and take off a few times Sliding always so he avoids big damage. Even running out of bounds like they have done a few times when the play breaks down. It should be a part of the play calling.

Also, they should not try end of rounds to often. Make it a surprise, it was easy for me to tell when they were doing it.

Another thing is that Kevin should have many more screens setup. Have the OL let some guys through have the QB whomever it is scramble backwards and out of the box then dump off to the middle of the field, it is usually always open, on 3rd and long they should rarely dump it off 3 yards or more inside the 1st down marker, they do that alot then the guy is tackled right away because of coverage then it's 4th and short, then they kick away. If you have to dump it off make sure it is very close to the first down marker or just scramble it up on your own.

Kevin should not on the line here, the OL guys did not do near enough to give Jones enough time to find anyone. They were pushed around all night.

Brent Venerables should be on the line too, that Defense was ok, but there were so many times they did not read correctly what was happening then they rushed in and the ball was already on it's way out. I was impressed when they made a change to stop it, but then they did not stick with it.

I know it is much easier to say than do, the speed of the game is so fast. I give them credit for only allowing 21 points, 7 of it is on Matt Clapp. Had he just picked up that guy at the beginning of the 3rd quarter we would not have lost the ball, maybe we would not have gotten a first down, but sure would have not allowed 7 on the board for Miami right away. It would have been harder for them to score going down the field.

Anyways, I give Kevin Wilson and Brent Venerables a slide here. It was a close game. Still think they should have conceded another touchdown with 1:58 left to give them a chance to get the offense the ball again. Not sure it would have mattered the way they played.

Anyhow, let's not abandon them.

i agree he needs to go.....his play calling caused allotta  !@#$%  not only did bradford do excellent today considering his receivers were no help...It seemed like it was all game.... two same run plays and then force bradford to make a miracle happen on just about every posession .. It got kinda old watching ,,(I wasn't a boo bird) if the run game did not work then it was time for bradford to pull a miracle out of his **** and thats a **** lotta pressure for someone coming off of injury.. Luckily he is a Heisman trophy winner he can handle the pressure and he did as well as any Heisman quarterback could have done with no f****** receivers!!!!!!!!!!!  I saw today as Bradford almost cleared 400 pass yrds on his debut from injury that this guy might actually do some good in the NFL his poise and pocket precision passing is text book for the BIGS....( LSU just picked off Tebow!!!! hahaha) However if Wilson keeps dicking around like in this game at the end of this season he's doomed!!!

-Good day everyone-

No way. wayyy to soon. Lets not forget what he gave us last year. He has WRs dropping perfect passes and lineman that dont consistently block. Dont pin all the blame on him. But if it continues next year... then we toss him   Hes been at OU for 8 years (not all as coordinator) ... having one bad year with a completly new offense short a LT, QB, 2 HBs  conservative calls are expected.

in fact, news9, is there a way you can take a post and make all caps lowercase if 90% of the words are in caps(if so then just make the first letter of the first word in a sentence a capital)... I can give you the programming code to do it if you want....

Landry Jones is by far the worst QB since Rhett Bomar.  He didn't even give us a chance to win.  The play calling was bad, but when you don't have a QB to count on, "What do you do?"

First to address "Landryjonessux, Sir you have obviously not ever played football, if you did, you don't show it or you haven't watched the games Jones has quarterbacked.

It is extremely difficult when you are only getting between 1.3 and 2.1 seconds to throw the ball. It is extremely hard to throw the ball off of your back with any consistent results. Thus, because Wilson and staff cannont teach basic blocking techniques, Jones looks bad. Secondly, when receivers quit on routes and won't fight for the ball, the QB again looks bad. So until you have played the game at that level. Be quiet.

As for the over paid gas bag, Kevin Wilson, a quote from an interview after the Nebraska game says it best. " We lose close games because we have no leadership on the team and that starts with me." Kevin Wilson Nov. 9 2009 Tulsa World.

You are right Kev, time for your overpaid gas bag to update your resume' and go. You have continued to attempt to run an offense that requires veteran players and highly experienced skilled position personel. You have made no adjustments to the lack of those during the entire season and are now probably going to do no better than go to Shreveport for bowl season.

Immediately after the loss of Bradford, Gresham and the few decent offensive lineman you had, you should have shelved the no huddle plan and played conservative field position football. By slowing down the game, and giving a very good defense longer between stints on the field, they would not be worn out in the latter parts of the game after your Radio City Music Hall Rockette offense ( 1,2,3, Kick) had been on the field for 35 elapsed seconds.

You had not one, but two 1000 yard rushers in the backfield and one of the best lead blockers in the nation to use. You choose unwisely to run the ball between the tackles 80% of the time and that has got you stuffed most times. And those usually with no lead blocker.

You would be well served to get back in the huddle, find a way to give your defense a rest between series and use the talents you have. Not the ones you used to have.

You would also be well served to remember a couple of football axioms that are as true today as ever........

1. Defense wins championships........If the other team can't score, you can't lose, that also means don't set them up with a shortfield with offensive stupidity much like you have demonstrated throughout this once promising season.

2. Only three outcomes are possible when you throw the ball, one is non productive, one is bad. That only gives you a 33% satisfactory outcome.

Kevin, my daughter is selling chances on a John Deere Tractor, perhaps you should by a few.

You and the entire offensive staff with only one or two exceptions are in need of a head coaching job somewhere besides OU. You are on the highest paid staff in the country and the 6-6 or 5-7 season you are about to turn in is not satisfactory for your pay.

I absolutely agree that Kevin Wilson needs to go. I hold him personally responsible for the loss to Florida. Run the hurry up offense all year and have the best offense in the country. Then get to the National Championship and change the play at the line of scrimmage 2 or 3 times every play and give Florida a chance to line up. He outsmarted himself. Fire Kevin Wilson and bring back Mike Leach, he's looking for a job. Remember what Leach did for us when he was there.

Why is bob keeping kevin wilson around, the man has no need whatsoever being an offensive coordinator anywhere, his play calling is what loses OU 100% of all there games and the reason OU don't dominate teams that suck.He lives in the past and can't decide whether or not he wants to throw or run.(1st down, run-2nd down run,-3rd and long pass, good job!)   Pass to set up the run.Don't run to set up the pass espeacially with Murry in the backfield.

Yeah! the man gets in a big game and he forgets what got him there in the first place. You notice his play calling.1st down run-2nd down run-3rd and long pass on just about every series. He started that **** w/Adrian Peterson which is why we had no national title that year.
