STILLWATER, Okla.(AP) An Oklahoma State University student has been granted an emergency protective order against basketball player Matt Pilgrim, three weeks after she accused him of sexually assaulting her in a campus dormitory.
Pilgrim, a forward who started 13 games for the Cowboys last season, has not been charged by police and has not been arrested.
Oklahoma State spokesman Gary Shutt says campus police had closed their investigation when the woman refused to cooperate with efforts to prosecute Pilgrim. Shutt said Wednesday the investigation has been reopened at the woman's request.
Calls to campus police and the athletics department were referred to Shutt. The Payne County Courthouse did not have an attorney listed for Pilgrim, who did not have a listed telephone number.
Shutt says Pilgrim remains an OSU student and member of the team.
